Not a good start to my day!

April 13, 2005 - These pictures are of the damage suffered by my 2002 Elantra GT on the way to work today. No one was hurt in the accident. The person that rear-ended me was given a citation and their insurance is supposed to be sending a claims adjuster to see what can be done for the car. There are 76 photos in this gallery, taken mostly for evidence purposes. We'll see what happens. I will put more details here as they become available.

April 20, 2005 - Safeco offered a fair settlement which I took. I was then faced with the prospect of getting a new car, and unfortunately, new debt.

I looked at the various options available to me, using the same criteria that were important when I bought the Elantra GT -- esthetic appeal, features, price, value, warranty, bang-for-buck, and driving excitement. Again it was clear that Hyundai was the only choice.

April 26, 2005 - I took delivery of my 2005 Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 -- a very worthy replacement for my 2002 Elantra GT. More on the new car on the main part of the website.
